It looks like its pulling hard af. It's hard to tell how hard without seeing the speedo, can you put up a vid with your speedo and license and face all in frame?

If you did headers, you need a tune. Not sure who said you don't, but you do. Otherwise your A/F ratio is going to be fubar and you're going to either:

A. Break something major
B. Not utilize the full potential of the mods

As has been said before in this thread, a dyno should be your first stop. You may say it is driving well, etc. right now but if that tune is running lean (If it's pulling that hard, I tend to think it is a very aggressive tune) you're driving a time bomb. Not worth the risk.

When you get a Lund tune they don’t ask what headers you have, I’ve talked to shops about it too. It’s not significant enough to do anything, also I’m already tuned and I think I may have been tuned for more than what i had so maybe that’s why it was so crazy when I put them on

It happens. All the time. I'd take those down if I were you.
I think I’ll have to kindly call BS, I have racing videos tagging HPD from awhile ago..

Also I have had zero issues with anything on the car, I don’t drive it hard unless I’m racing which isn’t often. I understand if it does have an aggressive tune something could happen but i think something would’ve happened by now if it was. Going to get a new tune through Lund soon anyways. Just curious if anyone has had any weirdly fast cars with light mods m

My friend, I respectfully disagree with just running the tune it's on being the safest bet.

Now before you jump my case, let me just say....its your car. If you are comfortable with it, that's all that matters.

That said, I own my own performance/exotic car dealership. We do builds from mild to wild for our clients. For the sake of argument/conversation, let's assume you ONLY have long tubes and a cat back. If you install them, and you don't tune the car, you WILL get a check engine light from the O2 sensors. This is because you have added a TON of air into the system and the car's brain doesn't know what to do to get the AF mix right.

Now, fast forward to your case. You've got a car that probably has more mods than that. Yes, it is tuned. But....you don't know the tune. You are trusting that whoever had the car before knew what they were doing and had it dialed in correctly. We call that "living dangerously".

I'm not here to preach at you man, like I said....its your car and I'm just respectfully giving you some advice from my experiences. What I'm really trying to do is save you some money because it really, really sucks when suddenly everything goes from great to terrible. And in the mod world, with all the computerized and complex parts of the cars and the engine sensitivity to any changes in tolerance, you live and die by your tune.

I'm glad your happy and I hope it runs a million miles problem free. And no, that's not sarcasm. I mean it. Just maybe go easy on it til you retune it.

Is it really a good idea to just retune a car if you don't know what's in it? What if it has engine mods that you don't know about? OP has something going on he can't see, I would think it's better to figure out what that is before retuning to something that might blow the motor.

a dyno run will shed light on what's going on since the operator should be doing a full instrumentation dump at the same time. So it will be obvious if timing has been set ultra aggressive, whether it's pinging etc. If the results are whacked, then a re-tune might be called for. He can save off the current tune with the right software anyway.

Thanks for the input, the car was previously tuned for not having any cats so there is no cel. I understand what you’re saying about it not being dialed in 100% like it should and I do agree which is why I’m getting a new tune soon. My main point at this post is just to share what is going on and see what people think. So any feedback isn’t blown off because i know the people responding know what they’re saying. I do not plan to run the car with this mystery tune for much longer, haven’t even had the car for a year yet. I don’t drive the car hard at all unless I line up with someone which is not often at all. I appreciate your feedback, just curious what people think of the whole situation.
