I understand the Mustangs supplied in the US aren't undersealed. In the UK, it's standard practise to underseal cars from the factory to protect them from stone chips and road salt rusting out the underside.
Long story short, prior to being delivered in the UK, they get undersealed in Belgium. However, the standard of work is terrible to the point where most of the floor pan is missed and it is mostly applied to the exhaust and propshaft. A number of people have approached Ford to get this rectified under warranty and have been told that no repairs will be carried out as the cars are within specification.
Anyway, I'm curious. What do people in the colder parts of the US do? Do the cars just make it through years of winters without rust problems, or do the garages there treat the cars in any way to prevent corrosion?
