Seat buckle protection

The protection used on the my seat buckle locking mechanism differs from driver side and passenger side. This protection is supposed to stop it from rubbing the plastic part of the center console and causing damage.

The drive side is covered entirely with felt while the passenger side is covered with a square piece of what looks like the frizzy part of velcro. Because of this I am seeing scratch damage on the passenger side being caused by the seat buckle back side. For now, I've wedged a towel between there.

Does anyone else have two different things?

My 2015 GT has the same thing! I just noticed it the other day. I thought maybe the previous owner had done it, but I guess it's from the factory...

Glad I'm not the only one. This makes no sense, I'd be raising a bigger fuss about it if my motor didn't blow up... :headbonk::frusty:

Yeah, me neither. Waiting for mine to get out of the body shop after i got rear ended last week :shrug:

And for me anyway the seatbelt strap always tends to creep up by the side of my neck, kinda annoying. Then again I don't like anything constricting by my head or neck like turtlenecks, scarfs, etc.
