Well most of them are going to be racing hardcore so I don't think they care about that so much.

But I certainly wouldn't spend a weekend taking door panels and carpet up to look for these,
Guess those of us that plan on using our new S550 as a DD would be more concerned of rattles and noise. Can`t see why anyone would go "all-in" and purchase Brand New if they were taking it to the Track? Wait a few months and purchase a used unit at a huge discount unless you have a Corporate Sponsor picking up the cost of the Vehicles purchase.

"The pony would be upside down with the hood closed though"

The hidden ponies are really there for the new owner to find.
If the hood pony were to show up, it would be right side up for the driver and passengers! And right side up if you were working on the engine.
I love the new model for myself, to heck with 'outsiders'.

I wonder if by "Ponies" they simply mean the ones already on it ... e.g. on the in side plaque, steering wheel, pony lights, rear emblem (non GT), Sync on Start-up, etc. as opposed to truly hidden.

Seems like a lot of silliness to me. Most adults of legal age to purchase such a Vehicle could care less IMO. Whats next, a "Selfie" under the Car Hood showing yourself with the little pony? Meh....

I'm well above legal age, and I appreciate the thoughtfulness that went into all areas of design (including the ponies I mentioned in my post above), but ... I definitely wouldn't go on a hunt for "hidden" ones and most surely wouldn't take a picture with them.

But, I still am not convinced even a little there are "hidden" ponies anywhere else.

Frankly, if your of a "certain" age, one doesn`t have the inclination to go on a mindless scavenger hunt tearing a new vehicle apart looking for hidden or secret pony embossed markings, just saying......Time better spent enjoying a Pint or two of Craft Beer.
I highly doubt anyone, regardless of age will be tearing their cars apart just to look for the ponies. A far more likely scenario would be someone who happened to find while upgrading/replacing/maintaining some part of the car. If it's true I certainly don't see any harm in it. I think it adds a little fun to the legend.

I do agree that the time would be better spent with a couple beers. Then again, there's always time for beer.

I like the idea of unknown ponies "corralled" throughout the car. But it'll lose it's luster as soon as someone posts where they all are. Trying to solve a puzzle is much more satisfying than someone solving it for you. If anyone unravels this mystery, maybe they could put out a disclaimer for those who don't want to know...

Kindly add me to the list of those that are not interested whatsoever to know where the hidden "ponies" are.

It's kinda like the 03-04 Cobra's... the only place you will find the name "terminator" is on the backside of the black plastic side vent inserts.

There where stickers on many cobra specific part that had terminator or term printed on them. Including the body panels front and rear, side skirts.

Everything had it on the Packaging, but the only that hat the "terminator" molded in was the side scoop/vent insert... (it actually was a mistake by the Ford supplier due to Ford not being able the get the rights to the name "terminator")

Living in AZ, and keeping my car in the garage, I rarely see frost on my cars. So when the weather man said it would freeze overnight, I decided to park outside and see what would "appear"...

I'm a little disappointed  feel like I tortured the car for no reason.

You can see the oval around the pony. We are getting closer.
