Hidden pony logo on hood

I've heard that there is a pony logo stamped under the hood and it's visible on top of the hood during a frost. Has anybody seen this? Heard of this?
I'd LOVE to see pictures!:)

I just have to add - the insulator protects the paint on the hood as well...its not just about sound deadening.

The direct heat will reek havoc on your paint if it is removed - especially down in the south in the summer.
Define "havoc"

I had a gt47-88 on my 86 mustang coupe. Mounted in/on the passenger fender apron. With a 4" alum downpipe that exited the apron, then ran in the fender to the lower control arm.

Had a HO fiber trends 2" cowl hod and then switched back to a factory steel hood. Never had a problem with havoc on my paint. And I PROMISE you, that got hotter than anything a 15 could produce.
And yes, the car was street driven more than track. And for over an hour at a time on the freeway, more times than I can remember AND was at the Woodward dream cruise in traffic for hours on top of hours.

I don't even get frost/dew on the hood. Only on the roof and trunk. I go out and look for that damn pony every morning!! Haven't seen him yet...

Anybody see the Mustang on the Hood?

I'm thinking this may be as rare as a solar eclipse. Post a pic if your one of the lucky ones.

Yes, but he wants to see a picture of the frosting in action.

So do I since I'll never see it in FL. :)

I'm starting to wonder if it will do it, we got the oval a few times, but the pony is shy.

IIRC it's more of a condensation thing.

I had a decent frost this morning, warmed the car up and drove to work, no elusive frost pony :(

What are you guys talking about?
The stamped pony into the underside of the hood is allegedly supposed to vary the hood temp enough to leave a frosted pony on the top side when the engine warms up on a cold frosty morning.
