There's really no good options for an underhood tank especially one that doesn't relocate the battery. I'd highly recommend going with a PNR trunk mount take like we did on project Goldmember. It worked really well for us and we have some solid data from the track. It's well worth doing. We did the Stg 4 kit with the Stewart EMP pump.

This might sound like a silly question, but can a NA car benefit from an ice tank too?

Keep the ice tanks for track use. They are worthless after 10-15 min on the street in 85°+ air.

NA cars don't run ice tanks because there's no intercooler system on them to cool. Only for forced induction cars with air/water intercooler setups would the tank be compatible with.

I can only imagine what the water temp out here in AZ would get up to with a big tank in the trunk. 160+ in cab is common during peak sun hours.

Yup the KC would be a better way to go for our summers especially.

VMP has an underhood tank that doesn't, and goes right by the CAI.

i was wondering when someone was gonna mention the VMP one. are you using it for ice at the strip or just as a coolant reservoir for everyday use? i know 3 guys with gt350's and they are all mainly using it for coolant reservoir but vmp says it's best for the strip.

Mine is primarily a street car, but I'm using it both ways, go to the track, drain it down halfway, pack as much ice in as you can, circulate the water, repeat a couple times then top of with ice and run. Not as great as the big PNR tank I had, but much lighter and packaged better.
