How did you found that out?
Stacy - the Mustang rapid response emailer - [email protected]

She has been very quick to respond to my two emails. My dealer said I could expect a November delivery (when ordering in Feb 2015) but has recently updated this to 25th January. However, with the info from Stacy I think a January delivery is impossible now, so February or March I guess.

At least a vessel name is something tangible to keep track of!

Yeah if that Vessel is the vessel i'd shoot mid march more than anything, you're still looking at 6(lowest ive heard) - 12 weeks to get form flatrock to you, assume 8 as an average as that's apparently what it's down to and you're looking at 11th March (would be my prediciton)

I have a vessel! My car is booked on to the 'GLORIOUS LEADER':
https://www.vesselfinder.com/vessels/GLORIOUS-LEADER-IMO-9357298-MMSI-309108000
It appears to be on it's way to Halifax Canada from Southampton at the moment though... Not due in Canada until 14th Jan, so I guess it may be a while before my car makes it over. Still non the wiser really.
Great name for a ship! Seems unlikely to me that they would tell you which ship your car was on so early. I only found out about mine once it had set sail from Baltimore.

Are you sure Glorious Leader hasn't just dropped your car in Southampton? :eyebulge:

That would be nice... they told me yesterday that my car was at the US docks, so unfortunately I think I am looking at a 16 plate now.

Fingers crossed for a cold winter now so I can get a good ski trip in to pass the time!

Sorry, me again, just heard back from them (Ford):
"The GLORIOUS LEADER will be leaving the US docks on the 15 Jan, I would say that your vehicle would be arriving at the dealership at the end of Feb."

So, I'll aim for a March pick-up with a new plate! Hopefully this helps others.

My car was built 21st October.

Nice, very long gap between build and reciept, i'm hoping for build early this month for a Mid march delivery .

15th jan -> End of feb = 6 weeks. If that's the delivery time I wouldn't complain the slightest. Looks like you've got a relitivley fast travel rather than the 12 weeks! Quicker the cars get here the better!

Picking your car up on the day of new plates is what I was hoping for (Albeit in september 2016, not March originally), Just for the whole buz of being 'The first 66(sep) or 16(Mar) Mustangs', and one of the very few 'new plate' cars...

VIN's seem to be all over the place. You are probably all aware by now of the RHD 'loom fire' which happened on a CO in December. This would then cause all of our cars which were already produced and waiting in the USA to have the fix performed, and probably held back a touch longer as this happened in a car park/train/docks. Maybe more ecoboosts and 'fixed at factory' GT's then made it on to the boats. That's my guess anyway given my build date and some of the other build dates which have already now arrived.

Getting the March reg is ok with me, it is one slight bonus I suppose. We can all get 'Stig' number plates now a la Top Gear. Maybe ST16 USA?

Hmm, I checked and nothing, although deleting a few digits from my VIN does show what was probably a Mustang heading out on 5th Jan...
If you just put the first 4 digits in for each variation you get a shed load of cars. Latest ship looks like the Tonsberg headed for Zeebrugge, ETA 19th January.
