You don't need a VIN for the dealer system. This is the actual order system the salesmen use, he just turned the monitor around and I snapped a photo. Just go into your dealer, ask to see your order summery on screen and get your VIN that way.

Really? I've asked my dealer for it and he's refused. I assume it's because it's not a full VIN and i need to add on the FB/Verte numbers to it?

My dealer wasn't much up for giving me a screenshot pre-VIN, though to be fair I'm not sure how much info is there at that stage of scheduling. In the end I got my VIN from an infinitely more useful source...

The dealer did let me see my order on his screen when I was down for the grand unveiling...

yeah i've emailed them, apparently no VIN to hand, but car locked in (Copied a few threads back) got a reply from karen on it though tbf, and she'll ping me the VIN when it comes, just seems vins are given out sporadically, or i've been lied to about being 'locked-in' or we're misinterpreting it.

I think you are somewhere around segmentation and sequence. Don't panic. Compared to earlier production it is starting to feel like things are coming through more smoothly. I feel sorry for the early guys whose cars ended up being upfitted with all the stuff that wasn't finalised at the time. Sounds like a lot of them are still being fettled.

I think you are somewhere around segmentation and sequence. Don't panic. Compared to earlier production it is starting to feel like things are coming through more smoothly. I feel sorry for the early guys whose cars ended up being upfitted with all the stuff that wasn't finalised at the time. Sounds like a lot of them are still being fettled.

Receipt Date: The date that MS&S recorded the order.
When the order is received from the dealers

Serialize Date: The date that MS&S transfers the order to MP&L and the VIN is created.
When the order is received by Material Planning and parts are ordered

Segment Date: The date that MP&L determines which week the order will be built.
When they figure what week that parts will be able to be delivered to the plant to build the vehicle

Sequence Date: The date that MP&L determines which day the order will be built.
When they figure what day that parts can be at the plant to build the vehicle

Blend Date: The date that MP&L determines when the order will be built within the assigned day.
When they figure the specific order that vehicles will be built. This depends on options and line constraints.

Produced Date: The date that VO finished assembling the vehicle
Your unit has been built!

Gate Release Date: The date that VO transfers the vehicle to Transportation Carriers for shipping
Your unit has left the building, and is in the hands of the shipper (rail or truck)

Ship Date: The date the vehicle left the Assembly Plant
Your unit has left the load site, and is on it's way to the dealer

Arrival Date: The date the Dealership received the vehicle
Your dealer has the unit in hand, doing the dealer prep thingy

Sold Date: The date the Customer picked up the vehicle
You came in, looked it over, said, "I'll take it!" and signed the papers
