Thanks, look forward to seeing them.

Looking at your video it appears the RHD Custom pack cars still get the cheaper (with fake stitching) dash, yet the LHD (Euro) Custom pack cars get the real leather/stitching dash. So it looks like Ford are giving all RHD cars the cheaper dash.
Far easier for ford to offer options on a LHD dash than a RHD dash....they'll have a few different mouldings for their different LHD trim versions...
I suspect RHD will have just one moulding and one finish option..

The only bit I wasn't crazy about when sitting in the car was the centre console where the cup holders and the handbrake are - feels a bit cheap and is obviously right where you might rest your left hand. Saw a picture of one wrapped in carbon fibre. Personally something soft to the touch would be preferable.

Not developing the upgraded RHD interior trim does make sense, it helps ford keep those costs down. But doesn't explain why they think they can charge ÂŁ1800 for the custom pack when in reality it may be worth around half that? I had my heart sat on the black wheels from the start but would have been hard for me to justify spending that much just to get the chrome window surrounds and the wheels...

benanderson89 - if you don't mind mate, can you take a fair few photos of the break lights? I'm pretty adamant that I will try the red vinyl wrap that one of the guys on the Euro forum has tried...also, see if you can get someone to shed any light on the remaining deliveries, i.e. how many are due between now & xmas? I remember Andy B saying that 800 are now built.

Can we try and get a picture of the mustang near and M4 or a 4 series to see size comparisons, I know it's about 6" longer and wider etc but hard to visualise,

I would really appreciate it if someone could o that for me :*
Yeah I'll just pop out to my local BMW dealer, get an M4 drive it along to a Mustang dealer, line em up and get a pic...

Do you want me to put a tape measure on the floor to add scale??

The RHD drive market is small, but it's not that small considering RHD Mustangs will be sold in the UK, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, India, Japan and most of SE Asia.
The dash pads are the same size, it's just what goes under them is what's different between the LHD and RHD Mustang. So it wouldn't have cost Ford anything to develop.
In Australia the Auto Convertible is over $70k AUD and in New Zealand it's over $80k NZD, so for that price you would expect real leather/stitching and soft touch on the top of the doors.

Thats weird, I work for Haynes Ford / Kent Mustang, our demo is in the same wave 1 of demo builds but not due to arrive till Dec 19th. Yet customer orders have earlier delivery dates and are arriving first. Weird how the demos arrive separately from each other!
My delivery has slipped again and I've been given the 'into the UK on the 19th' date. Assume its the same boat. I was also told that the delivery drivers may have broken up for their Christmas break?

Undecided on the plate holder. My car will be black so I don't think it'll look too offensive. However, once the bumper has been drilled, It'll limit the options. Might opt for the sticky pads and see about stow'n'show later on.

What do people think - holder or sticky pads?

For those that are going the sto'n'show route, will you be using the 'square style' number plate? Can you even get one for the standard EU size?

The custom pack is only ÂŁ200 more than the individual options, and is the only way to get the nickel wheels for now. Plus the fastback gets chrome window surrounds....

It isn't worth trying to decode the price list too much; the prices are based on what they want to charge, and not the cost of the options. For example, why are the paint options almost twice the price here as they are in the US...?

Fords break up for Christmas on the 22nd.
I've heard it's contractor delivery drivers delivering them and not Fords own transporter fleet.

I've just been to see it this morning.
I'll get some better photos when I go with my dad and my brother-in-law this afternoon.

In the meantime, have a video of the car singing a perfect 10.

Big_G is right that its not ready to go out for customer drive's yet. The car is ready but they don't have the proper insurance. In the meantime feel free to ask me what bits of info you want me to find out.
Not much in the way of mechanical sympathy being shown there:(

Yeah that hacked me off, paint is paint and it's not like it's costing them any different. ÂŁ595 for deep impact blue, it costs $0 in the states. Yup, no cost option (at least according to the build configurator), only cost option is triple yellow at $495 & Ruby Red at $395

Sticky pads - the "Mustang" plate on the car at Edinburgh was fixed in this way and it didn't look too bad (it did fall off however).

I have a sto-n-sho which is obviously designed for a US-sized plate. As my registration is only 5 characters long i'll be using a single line but narrower plate which means there will be a bit of bracket visible at the bottom. Ideally i'd like to get a pressed metal plate but this is illegal due to the reflective qualities of the material I believe.

Don't have the right insurance
It's a car dealership!!!

Don't buy a second hand race red GT from there. What a way to treat a brand new motor. A'holes.
