Hmm, not been quite so beneficial for me, 12 months (26th Jan) after ordering it seems they are "trying to hurry it through" apparently, but as my window sticker has finally activated it looks like it has a build date of 12th Jan assigned, which means it's still ages away. And I doubt anything's going to be done to get it here quicker once it's built in reality, it'll be on a ship (eventually) with all the rest of them.

Not exactly impressed having been told it was due due for gate release at the end of October, and then a couple of months later that it was locked in plant in December... Oh well, it will hopefully be worth a 15 month wait...
Well they could be lying to me as they clearly did to you. I'm just enjoying the euphoria of getting a response and a VIN. It will probably disappear into a black hole now.

Exactly Davidb.....ordered early Jan 2015......I hope Andy Barrett is chasing the back log as hard as he seems to be chasing new production. :hail: Seems the best way you get it hurried up is by ranting on this forum and including the word "pissed" in the title..

So finally some good news which for some of you who knows where I stand with my car will also be pleased to see I am not ranting this time lol.
My car is finally on UK soil and currently sits in Southampton. I went by the dealer today to check on a couple of things and saw the ETA has been updated to Saturday 16th January, so fingers crossed I should finally have my car before then l after what will be nearly 16 months wait and my car coming up to being 5 months old nearly. Can't wait to push the start button and enjoy ownership......

Excellent, I can but hope mine is not far off too. I'd be driving to Southampton.

Congrats. Been watching your lack of progress for a long time.
Is it possible that a lot of the oldest orders are starting to at least have updates/ delivery dates. (Pre May 2015).
Are we turning a corner?

We got an update from Andy earlier that they'd secured more production and that all cars ordered would be built by May.

I assume this is within reason and a car ordered in april won't be built by may, but i don't know the logistics of the agreement.

That would mean worst case scenario all cars arrival by August '16.

I assume it also means that those that were previously booked in now means they'll go through 'faster' so those who're like me and ordered in the summertime will probably be looking at March (late) deliveries (hopefully)

Mine is a January order, and it's not being built until next week (hopefully). The end of March is only 11 weeks away, I don't think there's a chance it will be here in that time.

Having said that, given the total lack of any sort of proper order prioritisation in the past 12 months it wouldnt surprise me if August orders start arriving before mine...

I just need to get used to that long bonnet haha but its been definitely worth the wait :ford: on the other hand I was looking in the boot, in the spare wheel well found a strange what look like a bung or grommit sliding around did anybody else have this? Not sure if was where the space saver kit attaches? Thanks
