Gents,

I'm racing 2 different classes 2019 GT with A10. One class with zero engine mods except open exhaust on stock headers. The second class is zero engine mods and 50mm flat plane restrictor.

What do I have to buy to store 2 tunes that can be trackside downloaded though my obd2 port? What is the easy way to do this? Do I go to a tuner and he tunes the car both ways and downloads the tunes into a box and I can swap them in as needed? Yes...I am this clueless about tuning...

SCT or an N gauge through any reputable tuner would work.

If it is a true race car I'd get it on a dyno to get the absolute most out of it. Email tunes would work.

Yup basically this. BDX or nguage. AED, Lund or PBD.

Ngauge or SCT X4 is what you'll need. Both are great devices but you'll probably get more usage out of an Ngauge. Shoot me a message if you have any questions or would like to place an order on one here from @LethalPerformance! https://www.lethalperformance.com/s...t/2018-2019-ford-mustang-gt-coyote/computer-2

Lethal guys,

I’m confused. Your website shows the n gauge device with hp tuners in the screen. HP tuners site does not mention ngauge. I need a custom tuner around 90503. I use church auto testing who is an hp tuners guy. So am I correct in understanding that your ngauge or Other obd2 dongle can read the hp tuners file so I have two switchable tunes?

The nGauge device is flashed with the HPT software. Its intent is to be used to upload/read HPT tunes.

Can it hold several tunes so it is switchable? Or do I need another device to reflash each time I change? This is racecar so I change between classes a couple times a day.

that sounds great! What is the major difference between ngauge sct or mpvi2? Do they all do the same thing but like cell phones some like apple and some android?

mpvi2 dongle is an HPT device that allows you to tune your own engines and trans using HP software. You could tune others with a simple credit purchase.

SCT also sells software so you can do your own tuning. Not sure how it works with dealers

I'm not sure about the N gauge but I believe it is for HPT tuners to sell a flash device over email.

Personally if I had a "true" race car I would use something like F.A.S.T. and a powerglide.

Powerglide is for drag racing. Billy bob is talking about road course/open track.

OP, I would consider either a dyno tune, or a Lund or PBD email tune. Personally I don't think you need a dyno tune. The top tuner emailed tunes are pretty darn good, and you also have the PCM making subtle adjustments for you. I would recommend if you plan on carrying multiple tunes, get upgraded injectors to run E85. A Lund or PBD E85 tune will rip. Big difference in how the power comes in.

SCT and Ngauge also perform data logging functions so you can view all things such as spark timing, MAF, actual and commanded AFR and knock sensor data.

Only if you car is a tin can (like well under 3000 lbs) & running 5.13's gears. Otherwise if ur making 'big boy power' I'd just go the tried and true 6R80 modded with the PBH 4-speed hub.
