I've always advised people if you aren't prepared for the possibility of paying for a new engine, don't tune it. The chances are slim, but very real...

Ford has a TSB that states you will void your warranty if the vehicle is found tuned. however if you treat your service writers with respect, most of them are actually pretty cool and will help out when and how they can.

and as stated dont mod the car and expect Ford to fix what you possibly screwed up.

If you have an engine related failure, it doesnt matter how you get along with service writer or dealership, Ford will deny warranty coverage if they have evidence of tuning being changed.

There are hundreds of sensors, seals, gaskets, lines, hoses, solenoids, valves, actuators, and control units that will still be covered under warranty even if you have a tune.

I was thinking about getting a Bama X4Tune, but after reading these replies, I am having second thoughts. But I still most likely will get a Roush Axle back exhaust though. I think I will concentrate more on the exterior than the performance mods, since I wouldn't be autocrossing or tracking it. Just street driving and mostly just on the weekends. Probably will do some car shows.

Please please please ! Unmarry your tuner from your current car ! If you sell your car without doing this your tuner will be useless! Return your car to stock with the tuner and look in the settings for an option like this.

If you don't , you will have to buy a new tuner >.<

This is what American muscle told me when i asked them the same thing.

I go back to what people have said time and time again. Don't be too eager to mod the car, esp. if you have to ask the question about warranty.

Just get the car, drive it for a while, then see if it's enough or if you want to go further. Learn which parts you wish were improved, improve that part, and leave the rest for later.
