Hey guys , I'm looking for a good tune for my car with steeda cold air intake with baffle in it (which i wanna remove) and a catback only. I was told torque management cannot be removed by a few tuners and its unsafe to remove it. I want to get rid of it because i know it will slow me down at the track with sticky tires. I will be replacing half shafts and 2 piece driveshaft with 1 piece.Does anybody know whats the real deal with tq management??

We are Lund Racing's largest dealer and can set you up with an awesome tune from them.

Their tunes do not completely remove tq management as some of those features are there as safety measures. However they remove what's necessary so that you can go to the track and bang gears without worrying about the throttle closing or clutch protection kicking in.

If you have any other questions please let us know and we'll be glad to assist you.

Thanks, Jared

Ok, now does the clutch protection being removed cause any issues with the factory clutch?

Clutch protection is in the factory calibration to help protect you from destroying a clutch if it slips in the higher Rpms or in between shifts. If it senses the clutch slipping it will act similar to tq management and shut the throttle.

As far as causing issues if removed I guess you could say it's possible as you're removing the ability of the PCM to close throttle if the clutch slips but then you're basically still running around with tq management issues.

We've suffered many times at the track testing when no one had figured out clutch protection. Like I said it will close the throttle as if you have the traction control on. Once removed you're able to bang gears and shift hard without that happening.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thanks,
Jared
