So I've been thinking about getting a tune and have been looking at all the options. and I've noticed some tuners with good reviews have just disappeared off the face of the earth with out a trace. the two I've ran in to so far that seem to have suddenly dissapired is Aed and Wengerd there web sites are gone. Is the epa taking them out or they Disappearing on their own?

EPA seems to be taking a hard stance against tunes, plus the car manufacturers are looking harder at mods and warranty claims than they used to, and using more complex protocols to protect their code. Combine that with the sheer technical complexity of modern engines, transmissions, and control systems and I think aftermarket tuning (at least, for street-driven cars) is probably not long for this world.

AMR and Palm Beach Dyno are some good options. I haven't used either one personally, but have several buddies that have used both and they all have nothing but good things to say about either one.

If everyone didnt have such an obsession with "catless" everything this wouldnt be an issue. Everyone has thought for years their non racecar needs to be non catted, and the EPA hasnt liked that for a while. Sustainable power can be made with green or high flow cats. Its hard to get people to understand at all that they aren't killing THAT much of your power.

This ^^^

Peoples' minds are still stuck with 1970s' attitudes even if they're not old enough to have been there. Back when converters couldn't wheeze their way to 200 cfm and OE mufflers were only a little better. Back when more noise meant a bigger power gain than you'd get today from the same amount of noise.
