I would expect powertrain/drivetrain losses to go down, not up. There have been substantial improvements made over the last few years in lubes and in bearing technology that have significantly reduced friction in the transmissions and axles of new vehicles. The push for improving fuel economy is impacting every segment of the industry - I've seen it first hand, and I expect that the old assumptions of drivetrain loss are going to have to be rethought.
