It's probably stronger than the factory crash bar, anyway. How much lighter is it?
I think they claim 6lbs lighter (not 100% sure). Watson might list it on their part description. I installed it not for the weight savings but for the tow hook which I use to winch the car on to my trailer or would use if I ever broke down and needed a tow (flatbed could also use it to winch the car). There are no really good convenient places to grab onto to winch or tie the car down. Watson does also make some bolt on tie-down loops now for the stock k-member...

I'm getting the tie down kit. How bad did you have to cut the bumper up?

I paid less - and it was worth it for me since I dont have the time or skillz to design and fabricate a tow bar that works with the stock bumper cover without a major hack job

Cutting the bumper cover wasn't too bad. I can take a pic if you want. Also, I could take some measurements if you want so you could make a template. There is no template or real instructions included - measure, guestimate, measure, start cutting, and test fit :D

Will the Watson or any other crash bar like the boost works make room for a bigger front mount intercooler. I'm looking to to fit a 22x12x6.
There's definitely more room - not sure what the dimensions of the Vortech air to air is but you could go bigger

These are the options I'm looking at. I would like to get the 1300hp fmic incase I went to the YSI later down the road.
