This video is not of my car but I believe I am experiencing the same thing.
It starts about 20 seconds after cold start. It last a few minutes at best and then seems to go away with heat.
Important to note the oil filter is perfectly clean as is the oil.
Engine is a built, sleeved, o-ringed 5.2 block. It was dismantled and inspected and nothing was found to be the culprit. New tensioners, pistons, rings, bearings, lash adjusters went in just to start fresh..
The noise returned on the new engine.
In this video, its very loud because the trans is out. Using a stethoscope, I can tell you it is NOT in the heads or the short block but it does get louder at the bellhousing.
I have a new flexplate coming. I know a few guys with built motors that make a similar noise and all of us have been told it's just a characteristic of Coyotes - some are just noisy.
Anyone heard this before?
