In this week alone, I have seen something which I have never thought I would see a Mustang owner do. First incident is when a guy pulled up next to me in a V6 base convertible and started asking me questions about my rims and drop. I knew what kind of model he had, but I thought I humor myself and ask him. He tells me it's the "V8 version" and he wanted more "sound to come out of the back". As I drove behind him, he would gun it every time to make me assume it has the V8 growl...but based on the badging I already knew this guy was a troll.

Second incident...I pull up on a base EB and I turn over to say whats up to him. He doesn't flinch and just looks straight and as soon as the light turns green, he guns it. As he was pulling forward, I saw the "5.0" badge on the side panel

Whats wrong with these people!?
The first incident could easily be miscommunication. Seems more like he wish he had a V8 to get more sound out of it...And who knows, maybe he was humoring you since that was what you wanted after all.

Second incident...Unless you know it sounded like an EB, some guys prefer the pony vs the GT badging.

There is a guy that lives by me that drives a c5 and it's clearly a targa top c-5 with these goofy ass car in fiber accents that glue on all over it and he tells everyone it's a zo6.... Everyone wants to be just thaaaat much cooler than they really are..

I'm proud of my EB, not trying to be a GT at all... Don't know why people would want to

putting weird "badges" on vehicles is the "norm" here in the Middle East (nothing like seeing a Camel with a German "Kompressor" logo painted in it's ass)!

I agree slapping a 5.0 badge a lower trim or turbo badge on a non turbo is stupid, But can you agree that someone who does this would buy the aforementioned model if they had the money?

Then they bought the wrong car, They felt the peer pressure of the "It's not a 'real' Mustang without a V8" group. Seriously around 2 k will have an ecoboost preforming at the same level as a GT but you still will never get the respect of the V8 purists. And that is important enough to some people to change into a gt.

If you prefer the feel of a big NA engine and the sound of a V8, I totally get that, but then WTF did you not buy the V8 in the first place?
Performance isn't just 0-60 or 1/4. It's power & torque curves that you can't get any other way.

Performance is 0-60 and 1/4 as well as cornering and handling. Idc how much torque or horsepower or what shape your curve is if you can't produce real performance numbers besides on a dyno you are just driving a hellcat.

In all seriousness though yes power numbers are great and very important but they do not dictate performance.

wait. its a Bentley badged as a Hyundai? wuuuuttt?
to each his own? idk. I mean if your rich and want to live like a basic person. but still have all the luxury...idk what this person was thinking.
Yes, it's a Bentley.

The whole point of this useless circle jerking thread is to compare dicks and see who has the biggest. This guy with the Bentley disguised as a lowly Hyundai clearly outclasses most, if not everyone in this thread, and yet he is technically a poser for putting Hyundai badges on his car.

An Ecoboost is my Pony. I am having a blast with my 310 ponies. I can only imagine how much fun a driving 5.0 would be.
The 5.0 is cool, so is my Ecoboost, and so is the 3.7.

You gotta just smile driving this car :headbang:

Not entirely certain how you came to that conclusion about this thread but you need to calm down and lighten up a bit.

Welcome to the circle. We don't discriminate. You just have to be willing to hold hands with an engine owner other than your own.

I don't even own a Mustang. I'm technically a voyeur.

You say that person (Bentley poser) is outclassing most of us here...YET, you make a post to basically diss the people on this thread.

Do you see the irony here?>

Whatever helps you sleep at night man:thumbsup:

P.S. I have the biggest:first:
