I would like to know how those of you who plan to take your car to the track plan to tie it down in the trailer? And how are you going to get it in the trailer? This is what I've found out so far. Ford made no provision for a tow hook in the front...or back for that matter. I would NOT drive mine on as the clearances are just too tight. My only solution is to make up the Y strap illustrated in the manual and use that to winch it in. Also need that in the trunk for street driving in case you need to be flat bed towed. Not sure the wreckers would have that.
Now for tying it down inside the trailer. How are you going to do that? I don't have E track and don't want to install it if I don't have to. If I had it I would use wheel nets over the tires. What I have come up with so far is to run 36" axle straps through a wheel spoke and back out and go around the outside of the tire and see if I can clear the front splitter. I haven't tried this yet so I don't know if it will clear all the bodywork. Hopefully it will. Wanted to know if anyone has done this and how it all worked out?
