i have a '21 GT automatic with 9k miles, which as of the last year and a half it is exclusively being just ran at the strip in footbrake class.

Last night I was getting deep in the bracket on about the 11th run of the night, it was hot lapping in the last few rounds in two classes and in the hottest air I've ever ran (105f at 6500da). I did my normal burnout procedure which includes line lock, button release, and drive out at roughly 4k rpm. I remember it felt funny driving out of burnout but was very clear something wrong when I rolled to pre-stage.

Best way to explain it was it felt like I had an extremely high stall converter. I had to put in a ton of throttle pedal input to get the car barely to roll. I decided to back off the line and not run. I put it in reverse which also did the same strange behavior.

Backed in the stage lanes I popped the hood and had a 5minute wait until my next class. In that heat the car would not have cooled much in 5minutes.

When I started the car for my final round it was back to normal, ran right on its number, and the little city driving Ive done since there is no sign of issue.

Any ideas of what this could be? I am thinking a limp mode for trans safety. I hope I can rule out mechanical failure as it appears for now to have been temporary. Trans temp was 203, 217 for ect. I do not remember seeing a CEL. Any help is appreciated as it could be alot of $ saved for diagnosis or repair.
