I remember my 2011 GT Brembo car I would start in second and skip shift (2, 4, 6) if I wasn't in a hurry. Possibly with 4.56 rear gears you might end up doing some of that. The great thing about a manual transmission - you control it.Thank you! That did the trick. I presume we are under “C” in the chart in lage 2?
Im looking to see if i really want to upgrade ring/pinion from 3.73 to either 4.09 or 4.56. Comcerned that 4.56 will make 1st/2nd useless...
Yes. I looked at the ZL1 camaro transmission/ rear bear ratios. Tire neight almost identical and the ZL1 has a 4.0 first besr while we have a 3.25. Unless my math is off a 4.56 gets us to a close call netween the two.I remember my 2011 GT Brembo car I would start in second and skip shift (2, 4, 6) if I wasn't in a hurry. Definitely the engine will have more leverage against the rear tires in first gear with 4.56 gears, but the car already has 3.73s and they are not nearly enough gear for super fast launches. I personally don't think 4.56 will be too much.
