Traction Control System Failure?

I had a random problem with my traction control this morning.

After firing it up I noticed 2 lights on my Instrument panel. One was the traction control light and another was the Stabil Trak Indicator (which has only happened once when I was on a skid pad) signifying that TC system was not on.

I turned the can off/on to see if that helped. I also pressed the traction control button hoping that everything would come back to normalcy. I tried both several times but no luck.

The car is being diagnosed at the dealer right now. Especially with the weather lately.

Has this happened to anyone else?

It could be a million different things...ranging from a piece of debris on a tone ring to a circuit damaged by something you ran over in the road.

Let the dealer repair it and move along. No need to try and establish some kind of trend for your one-off situation.
