I did not even think to pay attention to that. I will get that info on next track day. But to your question yes, in my case there is a huge difference between calculated and real. I have done just about everything possible to get these temps down race louvers, remove AC condenser, install ducting, and a massive oil cooler, all documented earlier in this thread.
That's great info. Thank you.

So…. The front end rebuild is complete..
Adding the GT500 bumper, Anderson Composites vented hood and GT350 fenders…. I also installed Mishimoto radiator…

The intention was to increase airflow, provide space for Oil cooler and vent the heat out of the engine bay

I ran at VIR last weekend in temps around 90..
Intake temp was only 4 or 5 degrees above ambient..
Cyl head stable at 215 on hot laps..
ECT reading on the Ngauge at 200..

I haven’t boxed in the flow yet.. but was happy with the number I was seeing.
Stock PP radiator and front end was around 15deg higher..

Any thoughts.?

The anderson vents are not very functional but is better than no having them.
Numbers looks good. Consider racelouvers vents

I had trackspec louvres on my old stock 2015 hood.

The 3 vents either side on the Anderson have plenty of flow whilst moving.. Which I can atest to, during some wet sessions on Sunday.. seeing the spray and vapor coming up from the vents at high speeds.

Maybe full on sessions at Road Atlanta next summer will tell a different story.
For the remainder of this year it will be VIR, Summit Point and CMP, so not too concerned.

Nice results!

And I assume the intention was also to make it look rad as hell?

Hey guys, question about changing oil with auxiliary oil cooler.
How do you know if the old oil in the cooler has drained out?
Unless you design the system with a drain you’re not going to get it drained much if at all. But unless you have a catastrophic failure that’s fine the solution to pollution is dilution.

My cooler is short, wide, and mounted low and horizontally. IOW with the ports low and level. I jacked up the car at an angle, ie with the rear wheels on the ground in the hopes that the cooler might drain. But the sandwich plate is still a little higher than the cooler.

The cooler holds one quart but somehow it took 12 quarts to fill the system to the upper line last time.

I will check the level again today after driving around last night. Then see how many quarts total goes in this time.

Will report back.

Just take an air compressor and blow the remnants out if you're OCD kicks in. Like other said, the amount of fluid remaining in the lines and cooler is small compared to the fill, but if it's something worth the time, disconnect the feed side and blow compressed air through, you'll get most of it out.

Well this is the first oil change after the original install. So that is why I've been wondering.

No way am I disconnecting any of the new lines for this. What a pain that would be!

I suppose an inline drain cock in one of the lines is a possibility. It would be accessible behind the fender liner. Which could be done when switching out wheel sets.

I guess you guys with the top ported vertical coolers don't get all the old oil out either huh?
