Is there a good race day thread in this forum somewhere?

I'm looking for good tips raceday prep....

Experience other drivers have had a different tracks or circuits people have raced on.

i'm also signing up to do NASA racing this year...I do have some track experience. I thought it might be a good idea to put something in the Stickies for everyone to see.

The most important thing is get a good night's sleep the night before, use sunscreen if conditions require it, and stay hydrated. Skimp on these and you will lose focus, get tired, and adversely affect your ability to make good decisions on the track.
^^Constantly overlooked.

The reality is that track driving is dangerous as much as we love it or otherwise. Focus and neurological adeptness is so important.

It would be a good idea to gather up what's on here now and stickie a "Track/Race Days Preparation" thread so people who are new to racing in general or new to the Shelby can find an easy to find guide.

Here are two resources that should get you started. The most important thing is get a good night's sleep the night before, use sunscreen if conditions require it, and stay hydrated. Also important is to be relaxed!

If you start to make mistakes back off for a lap.

It sometimes talk to my self, whistle, or sing as i drive.

Added some emphasis to this. We're all there to have fun. Nothing worse than when people think we're wheel to wheel racing out there.

Well now, to relax before or on the track I listen to Rock and Roll "LOUD"! Always liked it, always will.
