Thanks, Jaime but it would seem from what you said that they don't HAVE a Covid-19 procedure yet. That's understandable I suppose but right now, I'm leaning toward cancelling before Thursday as I don't see this event happening as scheduled. I would rather cancel and be sure of a slot down the road than lose out entirely. However, if/when the virus rules are determined and any cancels due to the crisis will all be able to bid on future slots. I hope that happens but I doubt it will by Thursday.

Right there again, east of the rock and west of the hard place. :-)

I replied asking for specific plans for COVID. I am not cancelling, I will go for the date I have. They will HAVE to refund the money if THEY are cancelling.

I'm thinking that you're correct about that, Jaime but I will need to hear them say that before I change my mind. I don't much care about the money being refunded, it's the future slot that I want and I could see them refunding but not offering slots.

I spoke to them on the phone today, as of now, no plans to cancel. They confirmed that if THEY have to cancel due to Covid-19, we will get to reschedule with no additional cost.

I’m sure it comes down to NC government to make the decision, if not the Federal government. We are talking almost 5 weeks from now, so hopefully by then things will be lifted.

That said, and being in the field I am on the front lines of this issue, I know full well this could (and probably will) go on a lot longer than 5 weeks. We will just have to let happen what will happen, and roll with the changes.

I was speaking in terms of the Ford performance racing school. It's a business, period dot. If they can have it, they will.

Jaime: I'm skeptical as well, let's just hope for the best.

Hey, I get to participate in the first "Wally World Grocery Shopping For Seniors Hour" here in a little while. I'm SO excited. :-)

Guess it is something to be excited about....:angel::giggle::giggle:

16K: It was quite surprising in a number of ways and, since there has been very little gab on here of late, I'll recount the tale. ;-)

First, I should have known better than to think there wouldn't be a lot of us seniors at that hour. Wrong. I arrived early and parked deep so didn't see what was going on up front, I just figured there was the typical gaggle. (Wore gloves and wiped down the cart push handle, of course.) <smile>

Nope, there was a line of people from the front door all the way across the store to Lawn and Garden. But, the good news was, the line was moving very quickly and it didn't take five minutes to get inside.

Once in, I immediately saw that the shelves were only partially filled. Being a latte junkie, I immediately headed for the milk section. But, as I got closer, I could see that the coolers were empty. Dang it! I asked if they had been having milk regularly and was told that they had so I expect I'll have to make another trip or two in the next couple of days before we run out. Spoiled? Yeah, I freely admit it but both the wife and I are addicted to espresso and lattes.

They sorta kinda had most of the stuff on my limited list so I was out of there in about thirty. Upon arrival at Casa KB, I wiped all the groceries down with Clorox juice and then put it all away. (OCD wouldn't let me do otherwise, Tob. <grin>) SHE however, slept through it all. :-)

I think you should ride the shopping cart whooping it up like a 7 year old on a scooter...Grocery Shopping for Seniors should be fun...:turkey:

Edit: looks like my advice may have been misplaced :(

Cab: "Misplaced?" Oh no, you're talking to the king of cart riding, man. I still duit at sixty-seven and of course, my wife tries to distance herself from me every time I do. <smile>
I have done the shopping car ride and my wife also will distance myself.

Another annoying thing I do (just to bother the wife), when we are in stores with hanging chimes, one arm and hit all the chimes......or if the push button on stuffed animals talk...push as many buttons at once as you can.
