To bring up attendance, I wonder if they made the exception to allow ordered car owners eligible to attend, with only 2000 cars out in owners garages,??
Definitely looking for feed back @Epiphany ! I’m really looking forward to this experience myself!
I’ll see if I can’t find how many will be going on the 9th

I like to disassemble things.
Sitting in the airport now, this is kinda weird. Homeland Security was asleep at the wheel for a bit. I was the first one they let through. Buffalo airport is completely empty.

Here in NY, everyone is wearing masks. You have to remove it when you go through security, obviously. I'm headed to Augusta, Georgia, to then drive up with my good friend George from MGW. I've made this flight with Delta numeous times over the past four years but they've added a leg to Detroit. So Buffalo to Detroit to Atlanta to Augusta. When I chose my seats the planes were fairly empty - we shall see how it is today.

All the escalators here are closed too, weird. I assume it's due to the handrails. Fatties are not gonna like climbing the stairs.:)

Tob: I was very interested in what your experience with air travel was going to be like.

Many thanks for the airport photos and having worked the freight side for many years, I've arrived at airports before the terminal opens to get a ride home and sat around in those sadistic plastic seats for many hours.

So, I've seen those empty concourses but it's always a really weird feeling as you said.

DO hope the three legs to Augusta are uneventful.

But most of all, I want it to be unbelievably fun!

We're all waiting to hear about TA! Take good notes and thanks in advance.

Killing me!

Couldn't get a soft drink or any alcohol but they handed out these bags with a light snack...

Seats were staggered so nobody sat next to anyone else.

Detroit is pretty deserted as well. It's like a bomb went off and everyone is in shock with their ears ringing. Nobody is talking to one another...just a weird silence.

That’s just got to be like a scene out of a movie going through the airport. Hope all flights go smoothly. Can’t wait to hear about your experience

Very strange times indeed. Enjoy your trip T, say "hi" to George, and I'll be tuned in to hear all about it!

I gotta tell ya, Tob, those latest images were beyond eerie, amigo, especially the tunnel.

Strange times indeed, Jaime.

And, seeing crewmembers in masks, while I assumed they were wearing them, really adds an extra "spookiness" to the equation. Those folks with the front seats definitely cannot social distance. Breaks my heart to see scenes like that and all because of China. We've thrown away a whole bunch of "made in China" products here at the house. Screw that. If we all have to endure this situation, with the lives that have been lost globally, SOMETHING HAS to change.

KB, I'm sitting pretty much in the second row on every flight. They modified boarding such that they are seating the back of the plane first and move forward. First class can board at anytime.

You know what's weird? There is always somebody coughing on an airplane. Not now though. Haven't heard one yet...

Good place to be on a commercial aircraft, Tob since the air comes in at the engines and typically exits in the rear so airflow is fore to aft.

The no coughing though IS weird. Hopefully no one is infected on the trip but if they are, they're stifling coughs. Another good thing even if it's weird.

Loved the Ford mask, BTW. :-)

Best Ford Parts guy in the world snagged me a few and I am truly thankful for them.

Just got into Atlanta and this is the first sign of the ice breaking. I'd say 90% of the people here have masks on. Looks like less than half as busy as they have always been whenever I'm here.

Something else about wearing a mask like this...it does something to your sense of smell. Almost like it purifies it. Walking by some of the eateries and smelling steak...Good God does it make you hungry!

Having read your article about farts, that may not always be a good thing...
