Hell Fellas,
I've been researching aftermarket wheels and the TPMS system and have only been able to find that the information is scattered all over the place... Is there anyway we can all collaborate, vendors and enthusiasts, and just make a sticky so that the info is in one location and then maybe there wouldn't be so many post about the same subject?
The Questions I have are:
Can the TPMS system be disabled.. just straight out turn it off?
Since the factory valve stems are like 2' long and look like poo on most aftermarket wheels what options are there?
I have seen the shorty rubber stems.. Does the actual OEM sensor come off the OE valve stem?
The aftermarket metal stems with the loop on the inside.... they are designed to basically just hold the entire OE valve stem and sensor inside the wheel?
Someone on here actually drilled and tapped their wheel to bolt the sensor onto the wheel... guess that depends on how much "meat" there is on the wheel to do so...
And the last option are to band the sensors into place?
