For those of you who have replaced oil pump gears or changed balancers, what are you doing to hold the engine from rotating on automatic cars when torquing the balancer? Thanks in advance!

I was able to hold it with the water pump bolts, and the belt held to torque the balancer to 120. MF racing makes a flywheel tool, but you have to remove the pita starter to use it.

I did this last time and it was a bit of a bitch, trying to see if there is a somewhat easier way but maybe not

Have someone hold it with the belt wrapped around it or hold it, then tap it with an impact. Easy

Is there a spot on the cams to grab it with a wrench? Some OHC cars have that.
