It seems that you could have a bad reader... Mostly if your unit didn't flash the update earlier. I could send you some files over and another method called a "rescue sdcard" (I basically modified to firmware to auto-flash). I usually give those files if one of the tester I asked to check my new update messes up his unit. I'm waiting a little more to release it officially... Let me know man!

Posted this a little back.

You surely can. I followed the video below. Find a picture you like (keep it around 800x600) and save it as a .bmp file. You can use Paint to do this if you have a Windows computer.

Are there still any prevelant issues with this unit? Last I checked there were still a few kinks. Has everything been ironed out at this point? Also, where's the best place to buy right now? Seems like a lot of places are offering the same unit with slightly different software skinning. Sorry if this has been covered.... but, 33 pages is a lot to soft though. Thanks for any help!

The issue with the Play/Pause button still being Chinese still exists, but I believe they're working on it still. I had mine for a few weeks, and gave up, and returned it. It wouldn't read my texts to me while I had it installed (nor did it notify me when they came in) and often times it would just stop accepting input when I hit the Voice Control button.

I'm actually working on the Chinese button. (So far so good I was able to put them in English. However, I messed the firmware here and there and I'm still trying to fix it.) RedfireV8 is actually testing my firmware due to my car being service. The Chinese button is fixed but there's still some issues. I also need to find a way to bring back the Temp in Fahrenheit instead of Celsius lol.

I was under the impression the temperature being in Celsius was changed within the NAV software settings. That's how I fixed mine before I sent it back.

Like StangATX said I've been running a new fix for the Chinese button which I can report has been fixed. It did however revert the temp to read Celsius instead of Fahrenheit but I have faith he'll get it resolved. lol

Edit: Will try that Patrick. I assumed you changed it in the Nav version that came with the unit right? or were you able to in the one on StangATX's website? Did it actually stick/stay even if you turned off the unit?

Granted I'm not constantly playing with my unit everyday, I can say I have been adamant to kind of go through the settings and play with the radio and such when I think about it and so far the only "issue" has been the temp thing on this version. Besides the normal quirky things the unit has of course.
