Are there still any prevelant issues with this unit? Last I checked there were still a few kinks. Has everything been ironed out at this point? Also, where's the best place to buy right now? Seems like a lot of places are offering the same unit with slightly different software skinning. Sorry if...
Holy shit... I've been looking for a body kit for weeks for several reasons...
1) Mustangs are stupid popular, and with these new models catching on so quick, gotta set yourself apart!
2) Stupid dealer drilled the license plate holder on to the car before I bought it. Took it off, unsightly...
All in the title. Wired some interior accent lighting and can't for the life of me find a switched fuse that is only hot while the vehicle is on. I'm using a fuse tap for the box in the passenger side footwell. I've tried the sub amp, amplifier, right window... nothing. Lights will stay lit...
I'm wondering what fuse taps I should be using for the interior footwell fuse box or if anyone has used them yet? I wired some interior accent lighting today and the 3 supplied taps (standard, mini, low profile) don't fit, so I had to use the cigarette lighter for now. I'd prefer a clean...
Push up from the bottom (almost like a squeeze), there's little clips down there... be careful, I'm almost certain there are 2 center clips. I pulled mine off and wrapped them in blue carbon fiber this week. They're holding on fine so far after putting them back, but it looks like I snapped 2...
Yea, disconnect the battery terminal for 10-20 seconds, reconnect. This is only a temporary fix, it will always come back with varying amounts of time between people. The only solid fix I've found so far (only a few weeks though) is updating Sync to v5.9.
Did you end up updating your Sync? Just wanting to follow up, since this seems to be a common issue I see. If this ends up being a solid fix for more people, it would be helpful to spread, as I doubt most people think to update the software.
Figured out how to do it and will be doing it myself once the orders come in. You'll need to buy welted EL wire, a 12v power adapter, and a fuse tap. Should be able to do for less than $30, all findable on Amazon and/or eBay. You could use regular EL wire, but the welted kind has a little fin...
Not big at all. I think my USB was only 4GB? I'm pretty sure 8 should be fine. Make sure you have gas too, if memory serves, the car will need to be running during install.
I tried Master Reset, didn't work for me personally. Software update did the trick, been about a month and no issues so far. Just make sure to follow the website instructions on installing... the Sync voice will tell you when installing is finished.
Looks like the box from Zenclosures, there's a pretty popular thread floating around the cosmetic customization section for them. About $120 of I'm not mistaken, fit pretty well from what most people are saying. They have single with amp mount and dual, front or rear facing.
I had this same exact issue with my Note 5. Used the battery disconnect method, it worked for a week or 2, then it happened again. Try checking the Ford website to see if you have a Sync update, this fixed mine and haven't had an issue since.
Just create an account on the Ford site and there...
