Dude, you're not alone. Just today a Ford tech told me it's "normal" for the steering wheel to be off 3 degrees to the left.

Cost me $180 to hear that.

That's f*cked up... Are you still under warranty? After arguing with the service director he said he will refund me. (I'm still waiting on that... I made him wrote on a paper that he will refund me and sign it. He said: "You don't trust me?" I said: "You got it! I can't trust you or any other tech touching my car so just write off what you just promised me!").

Guys I found a way to update our sync2 files from Ford with the TomTom unit. It's hidden in the Sync menu. I'll post a video whenever I can.

This morning I was bored so I looked around a couple of stuff lol. My Sync version is 5.8 and I just checked Ford the latest one is SYNC v5.9.

Here's the "new" features:

Media

Streamlined connectivity allows you to connect smartphones to SYNC® via USB and browse its content on the SYNC screen.48
Voice

When you say, “Call <name>” the name will now appear on the SYNC® screen, confirming your command.
The voice command “Redial” has been added to call last number dialed.
A message on the SYNC® screen will let you know SYNC is either connecting to the last paired device or searching for a new one.
When you want to switch audio sources, you can now say, “AM” or “FM” without saying “Radio” first.
AppLink

If you are trying to access apps through SYNC® AppLink™ and your device is not connected, SYNC will display a prompt, reminding you that your device must be connected either by Bluetooth or USB for iOS devices.
If you are trying to access a compatible app on SYNC® AppLink™ and it is not running on your iPhone or other iOS device, such as an iPad and iPod Touch, you’ll now be reminded by a voice and screen prompt.48

Apparently Ford remembered I downloaded it a couple of weeks ago but never installed it lol. Did you find anything better from 5.8 to 5.9?

Nope. It's still just as buggy as the old version. ;)

Yeah, I'm still under warranty. The dealer acknowledges that the steering wheel is off but can't figure out why. I only have 10,400 miles on the car; the tech suggested I wait another 10 or 15,000 miles and "maybe it'll wear in right." So, wait until the warranty's up. Got it.

. . . Maybe, y'know, take some time to actually look at it?

They did the same to me. I'm trying to get another thing fixed. They told me that my warranty was up because I passed 36K. However I have an extended warranty but it only covers for the power train. Every day I'm pissed to hear that noise. it literally sounds like an old rusty car...:tsk: I don't know what to do. Other Ford dealership won't give me a rental... I have it in my contract but they refuse still to give me one...:tsk:

I updated the website with a tutorial. I will add a video later on tonight to the website to show how the auto-flash is but it's pretty much the same as before. The best part now is that you don't need to do much anymore to update your unit. Everything is automatic! Download the link below and extract all the files at the root of your SDCard. Make sure your unit is off before to insert your SDCard! Once the SDCard is in the slot then power on your unit and don't touch it until it ask to calibrate your screen. If you don't feel comfortable just follow the tutorial on the website.

Absolutely not. Get your alignment checked. My steering wheel was off and after an alignment they were able to get it recentered
