mine plays videos as long as your videos are in mp4 format and plugged into the tomtop provided usb harness. I've played movies that are 720p on the unit and its a little slow at processing the video so it kinda looks like it lags maybe a 1/2 a second behind.

My videos are mp4 downloaded from Youtube but couldn't play . i might try other videos file.

I dont have mine yet, but do any of you know the company name that manufactures this unit? Was there any company names on the back of it or on the wires, or maybe listed in the software somewhere????
I ask because I work for Delphi. I actually do the Mechanical design the USB hubs. Delphi has a couple locations in China and we also deal with a lot of manufactures over in the Shenzhen area of China. Anyway what I'm getting at is if we can locat a manufacture name, I can possible have 1 of my co-workers in China to have then personally contact the manufacture and ask about getting a operating manual. It may be a long shot but it could be possible.

Thats the wall we've been hitting- noone has been able to track down the actual manufacturer. Theres really no info on the back of the unit, but it might have a name in Chinese, maybe you can send this pic to your friend in China and see if they can read what it says? They are coming in generic packaging with no names listed on anything.

I got two units, both of which came from different addresses, so Im not sure if that will help at all- more than likley neither is the manufacturers address.

As for my video, it errored out after a couple hours of uploading. I think that it might be too large, ill try again tomorrow.

I will show your pics to a China guy I work with in my office tomorrow and see what he has to say. In addition I will be getting my unit on Friday. I will see about taking a bit of it apart and see if there is any info on the PCBAs (Circuit boards).
I also have a guy in Hong Kong that works for my company that is pretty good at tracking down anything we need in China. So I will get into contact with him after I get a little more info from my unit once it arrives.

Got the "user manual" emailed today from Lisa, not much use but thought I'd share anyway.... hopefully its attached.

I played with my unit yesterday but still have 2 problems:
- Can not play video files from usb ( connected through unit's usb port)
- Can not enable navigation voice guide/speed warning..( i remembered i heard sound when i first installed it )

Did you hook the antenna up and fully screw it into the rear of the unit?
