Good point...

Stickers aren't what this GT350 is about. Go for white raised letters turned out if you need the look but stickers on wheels aren't gonna shave 1/10th of a second off your time....just saying.

Do hood/roof/trunk race stripe stickers count?

Nope. Neither do a BPR. But at least they're OEM...

You know I was agreeing with you on on the post that I quoted??

Your pain will end someday.

When I replace the tires I won’t do it again. The letters are nearly black now.

So do they just not hold up to dirt/oil or what? I wanted to ask you about durability and longevity on the road with these vs tire paint on the lettering until I saw this.

Yeah, they don't hold up, at least under normal driving. Supposedly, they have a special cleaner you have to buy from them, just scrubbing them won't work, and the letters get "loose" if you try too hard. Once I get new tires, no more tire stickers.

On my old drag Pontiac, I tried tire paint. It was equally bad, just turned kinda orange and cracked the paint. And these were on drag tires.

Has anyone with the stickers or paint blacked their tires with it on? I could foresee with paint or stickers, tire black becomes a thing of the past due to the risk of discoloring. Maybe I'm wrong though.

On the positive side . . . . they are easy enough to peal off.

Mine held up to track use. They had a cleaner it was a bit of work but not that bad.

3000 miles on my Tire Stickers and they look great. There were 2k mi. on the tires when I applied them. The wheels were removed, the letters applied one at a time right over the factory embossed lettering and meticulous overkill attention during application. Cleaning, scuffing, applying the glue to both surfaces, and plenty of pressure until dry.
