I’ve been driving my 490 whp 19gt for a few months now, and while it’s a blast to drive and pretty fast, I feel like I need a little more.
I’ve been on the fence about a centri blower vs a pd blower. I like them both for different reasons, but man. The price tag on either setup is substantial. Anyway I got to thinking. I’m a technician with 23 years of experience. I work at a high performance shop with all kinds of fabrication equipment and a dyno. In my past I’ve built many a turbo charged 4 banger, so it became an easy choice. I’m going to be building my own single turbo kit.
I’ll be removing my CJ manifold this weekend and my headers and exhaust next weekend. From there I’ll begin modifying my stock manifolds and getting things mocked up.
I’ll have pictures and updates within a couple of weeks.
