1. I recently installed Steeda's adjustable IRS bushing inserts (RED) and am now experiencing an occasional 'THUNK' sound under certain conditions. I'm not 100% sure its from these parts so I would like to get some feed back. A 4 wheel computer alignment was done at the same time so not sure if something is loose or if this is the normal characteristic of these parts. I do hear a slight whine which is barley noticeable and is normal from what I've read. Condition I hear it most is ; Slowing down for Red light but then it turns green I give gas it will thunk.
2. I've noticed (even before the Steeda inserts and Alignment) that when i'm cursing on the freeway doing say 70mph if I go WOT the car will do something like Torque Steer, it'll kind of sway and fell unstable, then when I let off it would do the same. No I'm not spinning or jerking the wheel, its controllable but I know this should not happen. I figured this was due to needing an alignment and new front tires (they where crap) So i did just that, Installed new front tires, steeda IRS inserts and got an alignment but the SAME thing is happening.
The History; I myself , Installed CJP (eibach?) Springs along with BMR IRS Lockout kit and BMR Vertical links. Swapped my 20" foundry wheels so 19" PP wheels/tires.
Months later I had American Wheels N Tires install the Steeda IRS and do an alignment. I helped the tech with the install to insure the install was done right. Took the car on the freeway to see if there was an improvement but same situation with the movement.
I will be putting the car an jack stands and checking to make sure all the IRS bolts are torqued to spec. I will also post a pic of my Alignment as I believe he was in too much of a hurry to get my car out after he/we installed the inserts.
Thanks
