Throttle body spacer

Does installing a throttle body spacer to a 15 GT improve performance? If so does it require a tune?

All a throttle body spacer does is lighten your wallet. This isn't a carburetor car where the air and fuel are mixed before going to the cylinder - fuel injection means that the air and fuel are mixed in the cylinder.

Moving the throttle body a half inch isn't going to change anything in the cylinder. If it did, why not get one the length of a Pringles can and really increase the volume?
