That's about all the pics I have. The engine blew less than a mile away from a Ford dealer. Had it towed there, checked in with the service desk, made sure they had good pictures of the same parts, and walked out before I lost it.


As for part-out, too soon, man, too soon.

Hmmm, seen a handful of these now. My guess is (like the others) this one dropped a valve. Shaun will asking a few tough questions of the QC people.

I think this is the first instance reported of a 2018 GT PP2 engine failing.

Don’t even dicker with the Ford Dealership’s diagnosis - immediately call the Ford 800# and get a claim going, make sure you relay to the CSR how upset you are, how you waited for your PP2 only to have it self destruct and that you demand immediate compensation for being made whole.

That’s just terrible.

Oh yea what's your engine build date? It's on the driver side valve cover close to the firewall.

I have to go back down to the dealership tomorrow to get a loaner or rental and get some papers from the car. I will check the build date while there.
