I am really happy with my 18 inch square setup. Thank god Ford thought ahead and didn't put a fender lip in the rear! I have a base GT with the 3.55 rear axle. With the new wheels, it performed great at the track a couple weeks ago!

Do you think your setup would rub the fenders if your car was lowered?

Newb questions:
I'm thinking of getting wheel spacers for a more aggressive look, i have the 18x8 foundry wheels with 235's. Would 5/16 wheel spacers do the job? (I'll probably need wider wheels/ tires 5/16 is just over 1/4 inch)
Does anybody have pics of such a setup?
I have the same wheels/tires. While 5/16" would help the look, it will leave you far short of the "flush" look that the radicals are getting. Sounds really safe to me.

Wheels and tires look good. Wonder why it looks like the car is sitting high? Probably because the wheels are pushed out a little and it's more obvious the fender lip is above the top of the tire?

It doesn't rub now. I don't have any experience with lowering a car, but I think they would just tuck right in behind the fenders similar to when my stock springs are really compressed. If you want to play it safe, you could always go with 255/40 tires if you wanted to go with the Forme 9s. You really can't beat the price of the wheels. They are pretty light and good quality. I haven't found any centercaps that can fit on the front wheels yet though.

Well I am a whole inch down on the performance package wheels with the same 275/40 tire size with 19s. I think this tire size pairs nicely with the 3.55 rear axle. Also I didn't want to go 19 inch because I need the stock 18s for snow tires and tire prices and options are just better at 18 inch.

I might look into lowering it once more coilover options are available. The stock suspension and brakes performed great at the track though!

I was hoping to drop down to 18 inch wheels from the 19 inch factory performance pack wheels for weight savings and cheaper performance tires but am I safe in assuming that 18's don't clear the brembo brakes? Tried searching on here to get a specific answer but couldn't find much on it.

I think you are safe in assuming none of the Ford 18" wheels will clear the 6-piston Brembos. There MAY be aftermarket 18-inchers that do; it will all depend on the shape of the rim forging and whether it clears the caliper.

A research project, for sure.

Yea, I guess I will stick with the 19's for now. Time to start researching wider tire fitments for the Performance Pack wheels haha.

Talk to the folks at Vorschlag. They've gotten forgestar to build some 18's that fit the big brembos.

Check out our posts. You can also see them on BMR's GT PP.... 18x10 and 18x10.5 that clear the GT PP brakes with room to spare. They fit right in line price wise with other quality flow formed wheels from the likes of Rays and BBS.

To make it easier here is a pic of BMR's car (blue on center cap is a protective film that needs to be peeled off)...

Thank you!
