It was an allocated demo that Andy Barratt sourced for me in the spec I wanted. (thanks again Andy!)

Was delivered to the dealer and was held in their secure compound till Monday where they prepared it for my test drive.

Out of interest, when did you put the deposit down and order ?

Deposit paid on Monday and collected Thursday.

It's only because the spec I wanted was available as a dealer demo but handnt been allocated as such so I was able to get it.

I did try to order one of the UCL cars back in May 2014 but was in Italy so couldnt get through, had placed umpteen queries with Ford for one since then but had the GT500 so never pre-ordered a normal one.

I know I kinda feel a bit guilty for all the guys who have been waiting months/years and I only think I was allowed was due to my past mustangs, I dunno.... maybe I just got lucky with the spec/time of year?

I am happy to let anyone with an order waiting to be delivered have a good look round it and a short blat if it makes up for it! (if you live near Wigan/Manchester that is!)

It isn't your fault, Ford should be allocating them to the earliest deposit payer first.

Nice. Did you have to pay a premium to "queue jump" (as it were)?
