to be fair. this is why i'm mentioning it. because i'm now about to find out and if anything, you guys should all know what its like to get parts.

should you every have to make a claim.

Wing and bumper will need replacing (obviously). How's the bonnet? And lights?

I was hit by a corsa on a round about. i can prove it but i think the young lad was speeding, also judging by the fact he never braked just slammed into me. Sadly no CCTV on the roundabout, thus i cant prove it.

Either way he's already on the round about and I'm in the wrong. Thankfully no one was injured and what damage there is can be repaired.

Estimate has so far come in at £5800, but no one can answer how long parts will take. Car is un-drivable and had to be recovered. looks like it'll need a lot of work, defo a new wheel!

I am truly gutted.

I'll keep you all posted on the parts front. Its gone to the main dealer for work, which is John Grose in Ipswich

i was more shocked by the fact, i swear the road was clear. but its done now.

Insurance have been pretty good about it, lucky i have 9 years NCD protected, but I'm sure I'll see an increase in my premium.

Awe mate, I feel for you, that's just awful, after all that time you waited :(

That's not a lot, in real terms, of damage. There must be some sort of replacement part package in place, surely? You don't launch a car and not have that in place.

I sincerely hope it pans out OK for you.

I bet we've all pulled pout at a roundabout one time or another thinking it's clear when in fact there is a car in your path, it's easily done. Unfortunately these days, and I'm sure I'm guilty of this myself, when you are that car already on the roundabout, you don't always give it the attention you should - you should anticipate that someone might not have seen you and 9 times out of 10 you could probably avoid a collision. I'm sure these days some people don't even attempt to avoid a collision - it's almost like they want to prove a point that you were in the wrong, regardless of the damage and cost. I'm not saying this was the case, but I'm sure it happens.

Hope you get sorted quickly, I can only begin to imagine how painful this is.
