Third and Fourth Gear Gone..

Driving down the access road on my way home from dinner last night, I shift into 3rd and it vanishes (caught me so off guard that I am glad I didn't blow the motor). No warning, no strange noise, it's just gone (as is 4th). Is this going to be linkage?

Also, does that annoying lock-out issue put premature wear on things? I know that it throws my shift timing off sometimes and I end up grinding.

This is a standard '18 PP1 with well less than 20k on it.

Not a linkage issue...shift forks probably gone. Know problem on the 18s. Warranty time.

Just got back from dropping it off.

I imagine it will take them a month.
