Lots of people have lots of track days on the caliperfexion studs. Its a no brainer. Seriously.

They are so good that the ford performance racing school (and me) use them.
I have had them on my GT350 for many years and also on my GT500. Both cars are tracked at COTA (which is very hard on brakes). They work great and I highly recommend them.

That’s what I wanted to hear! Awesome.
just ordered 2 sets for the GT500s.

so they are good for the GT350 as well? (I know not that exact bolt) I have not tracked that car quite as much but I should check the brakes.

So who’s gonna be the first to put an auxiliary fuel cell In the trunk for extended track time ? Anyone thinking about this ?

It really consumes an unbelievable amount of fuel. Really it’s one track session per tank.

I brought along a 2.5 gal container and dumped that in after the 1st session thinking maybe that would get me to the end of session two. Nope; only maybe 2 more laps.
So for COTA, fill up after each session.

hey! You had a GT500 at NASA Gateway this spring!?!? I was there with mine as well! We were the ones with the dark red GT500, bright Red GT350, Yellow Cobra, orange Lamborghini, and the gray C7 Z07 corvette! I was there with 5 cars and all my kids! That was fun, and it DESTROYED my tires out there in the banking as my dealer “forgot” to install the front splitter (I did not realize it was Included Until I got another GT500 later that month for Heartland the Lamborghini is a little expensive to maintain for track days). Also the stock camber is HORRID on front tires on the track.

I need to get some caliper bolts before I pull the pads. I know people are recommending after market bolts, but I’d like to see some people that have had many track days on them successfully before I go away from a stock critical component.

Does anyone have the Ford part number for front and rear caliper mount bolts? The online parts diagram is absolute crap.
I wasn't at the NASA event but did a couple days with PCA.

Yes without that negative camber those tires will get eaten up quickly at Gateway but brakes will last forever. I can say that turn 7 and the oval are the worst. I've burned a front tire a day without the negative camber. Other tactic is to just back it off a bit in those turns...

I don't understand why you'd need new caliper bolts to just pull the pads, it's a couple of pins and out they come. Brembo makes it easy.

I can't imagine driving without that front splitter on the track as the downforce on the back would make the front so light I don't know how it would grip.

There is a cross-bridge on the front calipers. Have to remove the entire caliper as the pads come out from the bottom. Caliperfexion also makes a slick set of sliders so you don't have to completely remove the caliper:

That’s is what I thought when I looked at them a while back. I was second guessing myself after the other post. Was gonna go take the tire off and have another look lol!

The COTA night event was a lot of fun but unfortunately didn't have much of a chance to get out there and talk to any of the GT500 owners that were running around. Had fun with a sensor fault at the beginning and then working through a new tune & some cooling issues afterwards. The driving at night though is absolutely awesome - so much fun. Very much looking forward to racing at night in the future.

Just measured a new OEM set of front brake pads and they are 16.4mm - 6.2mm (backing plate) = 10mm for the surface.
I just measured my front pads after at least 1/2 dozen track events and I still have 14.5mm total thickness. Have only used 20% of the original pads…. Wow.
