Still no report about where the instructions are lacking?
We are a long weekend here - everything is closed. Tuesday I will be picking up the car and I will let you know.

Curious where you find the instructions lacking and what advice can you give about them?

Thanks!
One was installing spacers on the tensioner bracket, but the newest version has them milled into the bracket.
Another part stated to install oring and map sensor block off plate, but it was already installed on the SC.
The instructions for the coolant outlets coming out of the supercharger calls for the left when the illustration shows the opposite side.
No where does the instructions state hoses might need trimmed, but majority of them need a few inches cut off.
Not to mention the instructions have you install the drivers fuel rail before installing the SC. Big mistake when it comes to getting to the rear bolts on the SC.
That's a few that I can think of off the top of my head. All in all, it took several hours longer compared to the VMP I installed on my 14.

Reading all this should have changed my mind, but I just got my order in for a Whipple 3.0L Stage 2 complete kit. The wait begins.

my car is still sitting at the shop for the past month. even though the whipple came in the middle of july (supposedly). they said the wrong cams came in, even though i didn't ask for/order any. i have to get ahold of them again to figure that situation out. i asked to get some pics of the whipple, but they havent sent me any yet. hopefully they aren't stringing me along. i'm out of state so unfortunately i have to fly out there.

They are lying or mistaken. Cams are not required and racing cams are spendy (not to mention the extra install hours).

You ought to nail down just what is going on.

Apparently it's a cam lock out that was the wrong part. Sounds like they don't want to just put in the whipple without these upgraded parts. And they don't know when it'll come in. And it takes them a few days to tune the car on a dyno

WUT?

So you are getting race cams. That is the only way you would need or want lock outs.

Did you ask why you need cam phaser lockouts? What RPM brange are they shooting for? High end? Goodbye low end torque.

Something still stinks with this.

i didnt ask for any race cams. all i asked/and paid for was to put in the whipple, bmr k member, sway bar. nothing was said about putting in cams or anything until recently when the wrong parts were in. i told them all i want is the whipple and suspension parts put in. i'm not really sure what they are doing/thinking, buying these extra parts then giving me a quote to see if i want to put it all in?
i'll be picking it up regardless in a few weeks with either my money back, the parts, or maybe theyll install the whipple.

Those are all pretty easy installs. Like building legos. Why not do it yourself and save a bunch of money and know how it’s been done. I don’t trust shops at all. They don’t give a f#%k about your car. I’m installing a new short block with my whipple. Never done that before but looks easy enough.
