I'm perfectly happy to do the full conversion for people once I've built my own but I'll also be open sourcing the entire thing for anybody who wants to do their own :-)

Are you gonna tackle the front tri bars too? RGB LEDs would be cool.
If this all doesn't cause you too much headache you will be onto a nice little earner I think
We offer an RGBW and RGBWA replacement for the 2015+ Mustang's "tri-bar LEDs". The RGBWA replacements do have an integrated sequential turn signal. Check out this video:

If you don't wish to have the RGB colors, you can simply leave them unconnected

My VERY rough first drawing of a basic 'switchback' style controller for the rear clusters...

Makes 0 sense to me, i'll trust your judgement, it'd be nice to have a 'hidden switch' somewhere to allow us to go between, road legal (Single bulb turn signal) and non-road legal (Sequential) just for the sake of MOT's and what not.

Regardless, when you have it done, I'll be bringing mine down to you :D. Cash, or card?

F:censored:K yes!, I like the look of those front tri-bars that change to sequential indicators! If I end up keeping my car I may well go with this. Not so keen on the multi-coloured stuff mind you. However there are no tri-bar LED's in the Euro spec lights so would this still be compatible or would it need additional wiring to connect it to the wiring loom of the car?

I'm sure Diode Dynamics can give a better answer but because EU cars don't have any DRL lights in the first place then the wiring for them is also totally absent.

That means you would have to splice them into the existing loom to get ign +12v, earth, running light +12v (to turn them on when the EU running lights come on), indicator signal and probably a perm +12v as well for their module to remember its settings or what have you.

Not quite as simple as for the US cars!

Sounds complicated... How long till the test tail-lights come WaxDaddy so you can start messing about and modding them to go sequential

I think there may be a few people downunder that will be interested in this too.
Like the UK owners - having sequential tail lights would be great addition to our cars.

Given that the wiring is probably the same - it should be a easy conversion.

Errrr .... yes, of course. Just what I was thinking myself :lie:

Thanks for that, I suspected it wouldn't be quite as straightforward as the US cars. Still f:censored:king cool though!

As I said, if I end up keeping the car I might well go for it. I assume the boards should just fit in as the US ones do, but does anyone know if that back plate (that the driver is normally attached to) and the white board holder are actually in the Euro spec lights or is everything missing behind the tri-bar apertures?

Pictures of white board holder and driver back plate .....
