Anyone replaced their indicator bulbs with amber LEDs? Just the bulb rather than one of those fancy all-in-one units. Not overly keen on ebay gamble. There are a few options online, but it's never guaranteed that they'll be error free or physically fit in the housing.

Yes, kind of. I replaced it with an LED switchback unit which turns it white when not indicating (after a bit of a wiring job).

To be honest. You can't tell much difference because orange is orange, wheras 'white' lights range from cool white, white blue, to whiteyorange to orange (halogen) depending on kalvin output.

Cheers MM, the main reason for change is just to get LEDs in there during a service, rather than be left with the pig of a job changing it if the filament bulb blows.

It's a fairly easy swap (infact if you have long skinny arms you can do it from the engine bay if you know where you're going). So wouldn't worry too much, it's the easiest bulb swap with the sidelight being the hardest and the drl being in between. Can't comment on the fog as I haven't swapped it.
