Haha, I know who's the customer
I love bright lights, don't want the Dim option. As the new HID will be also brighter than the stock one, you will not feel the difference

Btw, nice mod SteveP, really excited to have them mounted on my car :)

Depends how bright they are to drive with then at night.
Hi Caniggia,

So do the Diode Dynamics LED's automatically dim at night (i.e. when the side/headlights are on) by default or is this a mod that you make? Dimming at night would seem to be an essential requirement.

I was thinking about getting the tri-bar LED's with sequential indicator option. If you were to do the work would it be cheaper for me to get the parts from DD or would it be best for you to get them? Once the LED's are installed and I get the lights back, how easy is it to connect them? I guess there would need to be a connection to the DRL's and also the indicators ..... which sounds complicated! :eyebulge:

Cheers .....

Please look at papinist installatin thread. Not complicated, but basic knowledge is needed. I don't modify DD boards to dimm, i make my own electronic manual, not massive production, so i'm nearly able to make any modification customer wants.
I have dealer discount, so they will be bit cheaper if i buy them for you, it will include taxes, shipping etc. No problem if you deicide DD way.

They do not dim, and there's really no reason to. They aren't that bright, especially when compared to the hid light.

I will test them today and will tell you if there is a reason.
Hid lights are made to light at night and their light is not shuting drivers from second side. DRL are so. Mine are so bright, that at night they work for others like you put high beam. This is how DRL should work, must be visible at day and disabled at night. That's why my has parking/DRL option built in.

Ah, cool! You make your own LED's? I didn't realise that. So all I have to do is supply you with the headlight units? I can see from your website that they dim when you put the lights on. The DD ones also have the remote control/multi-colour option (= more expensive!), which I wouldn't want anyway. Excellent.

Having said I wasn't going to do any mods I'm now seriously considering the tri-bar LED/sequential front indicators ...... D'oh! ..... but how can you not?! They look SO cool!

Does anyone know of a reputable Midlands-ish based outfit (preferably with Mustang experience) that could undertake the extraction and re-fitting of the lights without completely f:censored:king up my car (assuming Puretek/@caniggia or whoever does the LED installation in the actual headlight units themselves)? Cheers ......

+1 on this, midlands based would be good. Previous in the thread a few guys were talking about it, if a fix is made 'Open-source' and we can hand it to an engineer/electrician and say 'heres a few hundred to this for me' it shouldn't be too hard, down to our craft sequential/drl lovers here :p

If you are in UK, then i have there company that can remove lamp, ship to me and install it back.
He installed lot of Mustangs and not only with my lights.

customledsolutions.co.uk contact Gary.

Now one set goes from there.
Im working now on shipable version, but looks it makes no sense now, since installation is difficult anyway, if you have to ship it somewhere, you can ship also here.
