Of course Dec build is better than Feb, but some updated idea of a realistic build date is better than nothing too!

If the NSC is a way to gain such info, that could help a lot of people out. If not, we aren't any worse off for asking the question.

Well .. For feb or March order we should have VIN by now . Without VIN NSC means later build date and that's not good enough for us . If I placed my order may/June I will be happy with NSC , I guess you can find out the build month with NSC just email ford au on Facebook

I placed a deposit on my mustang 4 March after being told orders in by 6 March would be guaranteed "first shipment" and delivery nov dec 2015. That then became January February 2016 but I was told again in writing still "first shipment".
Well Ford Oz has never rung me and although I contacted them numerous times, I have never been able to get a build date out of them. Well today after chasing down my dealer he tells me that my build date is Feb 2016 which means May/ June 2016 and still no vin .....just promises.
Totally devastated right now.
Has anyone on a pre 6 March "first shipment" deposit been pushed out this far?
I have no idea what ford is up to.

I ordered on the 6th March from Cumberland Ford, currently mine is on the oberon arriving on the 18th Jan.

It all seems very hit and miss and is not helping Fords brand image at all.

Hope it gets sorted for you guys soon.

I have a stock code (4 character alphanumeric). R??? Is this the NSC.

Metro ford

Somewhat comforting that I am not the only one.....but totally bewildered why guys with later order dates are getting cars earlier:(
Mine is coming through Metro as well. I'm surprised they didn't call you. Initially they told me all pre 6/3 orders were to be delivered between December and February. Then a couple of months later, Metro rang me and said that due to more orders than expected, Ford had to extend the window until June, so mine may arrive anywhere between December and June. I guess I'm lucky that mine is already built and about to be loaded on a ship.

Hey mate

Same position as you. Three weeks ago I had a supposed build date of Mid December, was waiting for my windowsticker, then nothing came, then FordOz told me early January build, then when I enquired as to why, they told me it's now Feb build due to 'unprecedented demand'.

I am currently waiting (10th day) for Deysha to get back to me with another update, but I'm getting the feeling that something has certainly happened for these to be pushed back like this.

Perhaps they've allocated one whole month of production to other RHD countries, perhaps they're genuinely short of whatever RHD parts they may require, I don't know, but shit has hit a fan somewhere and nobody is cleaning it up.

Replace Elliot with Ford, and 3AW sitting near the wall somewhere with that grin.

Seriously, how could it take until late 2015 for Ford to realise they cant meet pre March 6 orders. Unless of course those cars are now being reallocated for promo and radio personalities...or other countries.

This is what I struggle with.....the secret mens business....nothing is transparent like what was does with the Subaru BRZ or Toyota 86. No one from Ford OZ has phoned me or emailed me to keep me up to date. I have had two calls returned after I badgered them but no dates could be given. Even the people at Ford dishing out the Mustang emails can not explain the ordering system. Obviously not first in first served.

Maybe the unprecedented demand is in the US and they are re allocating RHD production spots to US LHD production. All conjecture really, Ford Au may have no control over this but at least fess up with what is really going on. Most likely if the truth came out, it would show Ford Au to be as incompetent as we all assume them to be.

Yeah in same position as you guys, I placed order in Feb, told it would be a mid december build, rang the dealer this morning to see why there has been no correspondance. After telling me the system was down and he would have to call me back, I get a return phone call with the shitty news that my car is going to be a "april/may " build instead, meaning i probably wont get my car till july/august. . . .I was so pissed i hung up on him before i said anything i would regret. I cant believe how much bullshit im going through for a 60k car. Dont get me wrong 60k is a lot of money, but for a company thats basically the creator of the car manufacturing industry, it feels like amateur hour . . . . anyhow thats my rant for the day

Buy something else to fill in the gap, and just sell the Mustang as soon as it arrives. Or cancel the order.

Seriously, even the _just_ announced BMW M2 has only about a 6 month waiting period.

yeah, its a total mixed bag wtih some people being extremely happy and getting treated like gold, and others almost feeling like they are a burden for asking ford to build them a car they are paying for.
