Press the on-screen phone icon at the bottom?
Or press the speak button on the steering wheel and say, "Call Jack Daniels"?

Or maybe when you say "use my phone" you did not mean to actually call someone.

I feel like the back up camera and long hood make it easier to park. Although I hate parallel parking no matter the car. I'd rather have one of those fancy cars that parallel parks itself.

Oh I see now. You want to use your phone apps.
IIRC you can touch the circle at the bottom of the phone screen to exit AS and then see your familiar phone screen. AA nav should continue on the car screen.

The problem I have is parking forward is the long hood, I can't see or picture where the curbs are. Everytime I park in a spot front in, the outside wheel of the turn in is always over the line.

Odd Door Locking

When I approach the unlocked car with a fob in my pocket, and I touch the handle, the car often locks itself. After multiple tugs on the handle, it unlocks.

What is odd is that if I approach the unlocked car WITHOUT the fob, and I touch the handle, the car always opens effortlessly.

It makes no sense that it's easier to get in the car without the fob.

(Yes, I know there's a sensor in the handle I'm activating. So?)

When touching the handle (with the fob) you must be brushing across the sensor on the top of the handle, which locks the car. It is designed to stay locked for a few seconds and then unlocks as you tug on it. Keep your hand away from the top ridged surface, it can be sensitive.

Sounds pretty normal to me.

I assume you know to touch the area with the 3 stripes at the rear of the handle to lock it.

When I want to open my locked door, I don't just "touch" the handle any old way. I insert my fingers downward into the door cup and then pull on the handle. I can confuse the car if I don't show it confidence this way.
