Actually, was the LT1. 275 hp initially up to 300. Then the LS series showed up to take it up to 325 I think it was.

Meanwhile our base gt, while also being ugly, was feeble at 225 up to 245 I think at peak for 2v motor. Had to have a limited model to even get close.

Finally ford got serious with the cobra but the gt still couldn't compete until the 3v debuted in 05.
