Wait, what? A race red R with white stripes? I thought that there were no stripe options for a race red R?
That true. I didn't realize that until you pointed it out. Nice catch. Im sure its either a ford promotion vehicle or a private owner who put stripes on it. I guessing the former.

I started watching it last night and I have to say I'm impressed so far! I wasn't a fan of Top Gear but this show seems like a good one. And the picture quality is amazing compared to TG for sure. On a 4k UHD TV it looks like you're right there in the action. There is a plethora of drift scenes as well :headbang: I'll finish it tonight I only got to the electric only drag race  A Prius would have been a contender in that one!

In a review of the show in "Variety" magazine, they state that all three Mustangs are the Galpin Rocket- in red, white, and blue. Guess I'll have to watch it today and make a ruling. LOL
No doubt about it. Three completely different cars. I guess I won't bash on "Variety" too bad. After all, it's not an automobile magazine, just another British "rag".

I finished it tonight and well I thought some parts were drug on a little to long, overall it was a good show! The celebrity brain deal could have been left out imo. We got the point that they were mocking top gear without taking 5 min of my life I'll never get back :frusty: Most of the top gear aimed jokes were pretty good though. Let's just hope that's not an every show thing and they get to the point... "Spoiler Alert" That P1 is quite the beast even if it was the slowest. That would be my choice of the 3.

Well, Chris Harris already pulled off having all three of those cars on the same track on the same day a whole year ago (). So I was a bit underwhelmed in seeing that whole thing again, but I'll watch anything these guys do (good or not) with a smile. The dumber the better. The intro was great.

probably the best car video ever.

The worst part about the intro was that it didn't carry over into the episode! I would have much rather seen those 3 go head to head rather than 3 hyper cars that already get a ton of screen time. My hopes are that sometime during the season they will bring them back :hail:

Agree. Very disappointed that the Mustangs were only in that intro segment, never to be seen again.

Slightly off topic: Jay Leno's Garage, the 1 hr show on CNBC, featured his '65 GT350 and the new GT350 in the episode "American Muscle". Jay later featured his own '15 GT350R in the episode "Supercars". During the latter ep, Jay blindfolded a guest star and asked him what car he was riding in, the guest guessed a Porsche GT3.

I enjoyed watching those segments on Jay Leno's Garage far more than the Grand Tour's opening.

3 mustangs drove into a crowd but no injuries, was not believable at all

They have a mustang episode that was filmed in london so not sure which episode that will be. Judging from the rest of the clips they have a LOT of hardware lined up

Let's hope that the TGT mustang episode doesn't disappoint. If they drop the ball on that one I might not finish the season :paddle:

Watched it with my 7 year old son. We used to watch the old Top Gear occasionally as well. He never remembered the name, just called it "The Three Guys with Cars" show.

We both enjoyed it, him especially. He was wondering if the celebrities were really dead.

He really laughed when Clarkson had to put the P1 into launch control and kept droning on and on with all the instructions while the other two guys just mashed the gas and released the brake.

Overall it was fun to the see trio back in action, and I look forward to future episodes. I would have liked to see them wring out the GT350 though. Would also like to see Ben Collins come in to drive some of their cars, too. That would be funny.

The first episode was just meh. Honestly I like MT vids on You Tube better.

What did you fellas think of episode 2? I've only watched half of it but that Aston was pretty ridiculous IMO... That's about as far as I got but plan to finish it tonight.

The Aston was awesome! Rest of the episode was pretty rough IMHO. Not really a huge fan when they do segments on nothing related to cars - especially when it is the whole episode.

I agree... That whatever they call it when they're sitting on stools :frusty: It's entertaining but I hope they increase the "Automotive" content. Most of the show so far I've seen was joking about the president of the country they were in! :headbonk:
